Introduction to Acrylic Painting

Learn to paint using acrylics as an experimental medium. The purpose of this course is to introduce the student to fundamental building skills through the process of image making. You will learn the basics of painting, encouraging you to express your creative side. Explore the aspect of painting through shape, movement, composition, technique, color, and much more. This course will introduce new painting ideas, ranging from experimenting with different brushes and learning how to mix colors, creating patterns and textures.
Mixed Media Collage Abstraction Workshop

Experiment with collage and mixed media, making your painting more energized. This course will introduce new and experimental ways of painting and stretch your creative boundaries with acrylics or watercolors. The focus is more of an abstract approach to painting, but could also be combined with realistic elements. Learn to achieve an outstanding composition using the elements of design. We are going to study the elements of painting through the skill of observation, understanding that the painting itself is a window rather than and object.
